Winter Bullet Journal
Hey friends, this month I am trying something new in my bullet journal. If you read the last blog post and watched the video (either or) you will know that I am putting my November and December spreads together, this is to both save time and have them ready to use sooner. Now, in true That Mom fashion, this video went up later in the month but I was done planning and filming this in the second weekend of the month, so I was able to use this much sooner than my October spread.
November and December 2023 Bullet Journal. That Mom Mercedes
I didn’t go over the top with decorations or sketches this month as well, I am very happy with my cover page having a little play on words. “Baby it’s cold outside” turned into “Baby is under 90 degrees outside” so I saved myself from possible copy write over my typo. I ended up using some stickers that came in a certain Webstores Holiday Gift Guide, I couldn’t see the company logo and they were cute so they worked to add some decoration without sending them to recycling.
My garden log also got a makeover this month, since I combined the months I went ahead and combined the garden log so its a full page. I still used my normal garden grid, but just made it 10 weeks long to fit both months.
In the end I also decided to make my weekly calendar boxes 8 x 8 to give me two weeks per full page spread, giving me ample room to write notes. I also had one box left over in each two week spread since it gave me 16 total boxes when all I needed was 14, so I used the extra space per week to add in my meal notes and any extra notes that may be that week. Very fluid in this process, this is a trial and error type spread to see what works and if this can work for more of my journal.
In all my November and December Bullet Journal Spread took less than three hours in total to sit down and make, I made some choices of what to include and what not to include. I also did a modified extra habits section that was two rows of 15 for November and two rows with one 15 and one 16 for December, one method that I did for the longest time when it came to habit logging. So this spread is very simple and functional.
Let me know what you think. Would this type of bullet journal calendar spread work for you?
Many Blessings.
